Volunteer to Help Older Adults
The Center of Concern announces their annual fall Community Service Day to help homebound older adults to be held Saturday, September 15th, 2018, In tribute of the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks as a day of unity, service, and remembrance, in honor of the 9/11 victims, volunteers and rescue and recovery workers.
Volunteers help with window washing, yard maintenance, and other tasks to help older adults maintain their independence.
Individuals, couples, and families, groups of friends, student clubs, service organizations, businesses, companies, and organizations – are all welcome to volunteer. Coffee, juice, and a Volunteer T-Shirt will be provided with this opportunity to give back to your community!
John McNabola, Executive Director of the Center of Concern said, “Our Annual Fall Service Day is a great opportunity for everyone in the community to come together and interact with older adults to enable them to feel stronger and more secure in their homes.”
