About Us

Welcome to the Center of Concern!

Since 1978, the Center of Concern has been a source of hope and inspiration to thousands of clients and volunteers whose lives have been enriched by our programs. We are here to inform, advocate and intervene on behalf of residents struggling with challenges related to aging, homelessness, and accessing resources to remain independent in their homes.

All of our programs share a common purpose: supporting families and strengthening the community. The talents of our experienced staff, trained volunteers, and longstanding community partners band together to provide compassion, experience, and insight to help residents overcome isolation and significant challenges to remain independent. Our services are a lifeline to ensure the well-being of residents struggling to make ends meet on low fixed incomes, lack of affordable housing, and rising costs of medical care.

With challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic we will continue to expand our programs and services to address unmet needs in our community.

Please email us or call us directly to learn more about how you might be able to make a difference — in your life and the lives of others in need. As always, we welcome your comments and suggestions and thank you for visiting the Center of Concern online.

The mission of the Center of Concern is to provide housing solutions, support services, and counseling for older adults, people with disabilities, and others in need, enabling them to live with dignity and independence.
