Community Service Day
April 28 @ 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
My name is Matthew Lande, and I am a Boy-Scout with Troop 228 in Morton Grove. I am a Sophomore at Niles West High School. I am working alongside Center of Concern for my Eagle Scout Project. As part of my Eagle Scout Project, I am running the Community Service Day on April 28th. Please see the flyer that I created for more details on the Community Service Day on April 28th. I look forward to working with you all.
The Center of Concern announced plans for a Community Service Day to help Older Adults – a time dedicated to demonstrating to the community that by working together we can meet challenges and accomplish goals. The Center of Concern is planning to help homebound seniors on Saturday, April 28th, 2018 with a Community Service Day by window washing and yard maintenance, to help them maintain their independence and prepare for the fall and winter seasons.
Individuals, couples, families, groups of friends, student clubs, service organizations, businesses, companies, and organizations – all are welcome to volunteer. Breakfast and volunteer t-shirts will be provided as well as the opportunity to give back to your community!
John McNabola, Executive Director of the Center of Concern said, “Our annual Service Day activity is a great opportunity to everyone in the community to come together and make the lives of our oldest generation stronger and more secure.”

The local community benefits when its residents are helping older adults.
You give seniors a piece of mind and allow them to age-in-place in their community.
