“Lunch with Us” is a senior lunch program provided daily at the Des Plaines Public Library. It was introduced by the Center of Concern in June of 2017 in order to promote the health and well-being of older adults in the community by providing nutritional meals and a variety of informative and educational programs. You do not have to reside in Des Plaines to attend. The meal is available to all persons 60 years of age and older, and to their spouses, regardless of age. Participants are reminded that “Lunch with Us” is donation-based. A suggested donation of $2.00 per meal is greatly appreciated.
Lunch is provided Monday through Friday. Doors are open from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Lunch is served between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm. The Des Plaines Public Library is located at 1501 Ellinwood Ave. Des Plaines, IL 60016.
